Hey! I’m Carly, but most people call me Carlz. No need to ask about my real name—it’s just the same! On IMVU, I kept it simple and used my real name with my VU last name.

I’ve been on VU for around 2 years now, and I’ve been creating for just as long. I got into creating because I wanted more gothic and alternative styles that truly matched my vibe. The very first thing I ever made was hair, and from there, I just kept going. I genuinely enjoy creating everything—there’s nothing I don’t like making. My go-to styles are goth, grunge, and pastel goth, which totally makes sense since I’m gothic IRL. I love expressing that aesthetic through my work.

My catalog is full of a wide range of colors and styles, so there's nothing I really feel is missing. Some of the most memorable pieces for me are my matching formal outfits for both male and female avatars—they really stood out. That said, I definitely prefer making items for females because I love playing with a variety of looks and styles. I don’t create andro items, but who knows—maybe one day.

I pull a lot of my inspiration from Pinterest. If I wasn’t here creating, I’d probably be modeling instead. Outside of IMVU, I’m super passionate about mental health advocacy. I live with several mental and physical health conditions, and I use my experiences to help others and speak out.

I’m a proud mum to two amazing girls, both with additional needs, and I also have four beautiful kids on VU. I met my fiancé on IMVU—yep, we’re VU married and engaged IRL! He’s moving from Australia to Ireland to be with me, and we’ve been going strong for 2 years.

Music is a big part of my life too—Bad Omens and heavy metal are always playing in the background. My favorite food? Definitely Mexican. And my favorite time of year is summer—I love the warmth and the energy it brings.

As for MDI, I absolutely love it. I first saw it advertised in another server and instantly fell in love with the style. My experience here has been amazing, and honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing.
