Hey, I’m DirDee — or just Cam if you prefer real names. No nicknames here, I like to keep it simple. I’ve been on IMVU for about 16 years now, and I’ve been creating off and on for 12 of those. I honestly can’t remember exactly what inspired me to start developing, but I do know that I use it as a way to clear my head. It’s always been kind of therapeutic for me.

The first thing I ever made? Pretty sure it was furniture. These days, I lean more toward creating shirts — they’re my favorite to design. I’ve always been drawn to goth and grunge styles, and while I can't say exactly why, it’s just what resonates with me. I do wish I had more black items in my catalog — there can never be too much black, in my opinion.

I’m not married in RL or VU — my name kind of speaks for itself there. I have three kids in real life who mean the world to me. I don’t have any pets, though. Outside of IMVU, one of my biggest passions is conspiracy theories — I love digging into them and seeing what’s out there. Music-wise, I’m into a little bit of everything, but Deftones and Glass Animals top my list.

If I wasn’t creating on IMVU, I’d probably still be doing something artistic or something that lets me explore and think deeply. I was invited to join MDI, and I’ve got to say — so far, it’s been a great experience. I like the vibe and the creative freedom. I haven’t really branched out into promoting my stuff elsewhere, but I wouldn’t mind if MDI wanted to help get the word out.

As for styles, I don’t really step outside the MDI vibe — it fits me. And yes, I’ve been part of goth and BDSM culture before, absolutely. I don’t make a ton of andro items, but I pull inspiration from all over — music, moods, aesthetics, even random thoughts.

My favorite holidays are definitely the Fourth of July and Halloween — I love the energy and creativity around those times. I'm 42 now and turning 43 in July. Korean food is my go-to when it comes to eating — I can't get enough of it. And while I can’t pick just one most memorable piece in my catalog, I do find myself gravitating more toward making for one gender over another depending on what’s inspiring me at the time.

Overall, I’m a quiet person who likes to keep to myself, but I enjoy expressing myself through my work. That’s me in a nutshell.
