I’m Vorvolaka (Sarah), 29. My name comes from a Die So Fluid song. I’m married to Valairium on VU, though we’ve been in a relationship for 3 years. I’ve been on VU since 2011, creating since 2012, after I couldn't find the things I wanted, so I started making them myself.

The first thing I made was hair. I love creating hair and velvet pieces—hair because it’s fun to experiment with colors, and velvet just looks beautiful. I’m into neo-Victorian gothic style, with dramatic silhouettes, corsets, and lace. Vampires are my obsession. I wish there was more white in my catalog, but I tend to avoid yellow.

I have two cats, Mercy and Theodore, and a leopard gecko named Newt. I love California rolls, Chipotle bowls, and anything sweet—especially cream cheese frosting straight from the tub.

My most memorable creation is Girl Anachronism, a dress I’m still proud of. I mostly create for women because I design for myself, though I’ve made a few andro items. Music, especially artists like TBM, Sopor Aeternus, and Emilie Autumn, inspires me a lot. If I weren’t creating, I’d be in a library or coffee shop.

Dev brought me to MDI, and I’m glad she did! I’ve been into goth since I was 13, but my style now includes more floral grandma dresses. I also love cottagecore, fantasy, and historical fashion. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I enjoy early spring and fall.

I’ve had a great experience with MDI—it’s a sweet community. I’m passionate about the goth subculture, music, and discovering obscure bands. I also love gaming, painting, crocheting, and learning to sew.

I’m a homebody with depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia, which makes working in person difficult. I’ve been taking college courses for enrichment and enjoy math and statistics. In my free time, I do puzzles and pursue my creative hobbies.
